We are planning for a very earthy wedding that allows us to share some of our own interests with our loved ones. Here are some ways we’re choosing to incorporate bohemian themes into our special day.
Macrame Decor
Macrame decor is very bohemian-chic. Attend a workshop to make wall hangings with your bridesmaids or scope out Etsy for some hand-crafted garlands to add to your decor.
Glamping Tents
One thing that I’m incredibly excited about is our incorporation of glamping tents for our wedding party the night of the wedding. Not only will this make for gorgeous pictures, it’ll allow us to feel connected to nature and continue to make memories with our closest friends after everyone else has left.
Pick Wild Flowers
Floral arrangements that look perfectly imperfect are essential for boho celebrations. Think bouquets of grass and garden roses arranged to look as if they were just picked and bunched together with a thick satin ribbon bow. For centerpieces, a collection of bottles in different shapes and sizes filled with grasses, fern leaves and garden roses, including the rose buds, would work well.
Get Back To Nature
Boho brides will probably gravitate towards a non-traditional venue surrounded by nature. Rustic ranches, farms, private estates, backyard settings, warehouses, lofts and vineyards are all great spots to scope out.
Keep Your Look Simple
Fabrics such as lace and organza are always a wonderful choice for a boho bride’s dress, while grooms can wear anything from khakis and a white shirt to a simple linen suit. As far as hair and makeup goes, opt for an effortlessly elegant vibe. Incorporating a simple floral piece or vintage hair clip could tie together your look and just might take care of your “something borrowed” as well.
