If you’re like me, you’ll use any opportunity to throw a themed holiday party. Ranging from the 50s, to a holiday character costume party, we’re covering these and more to inspire your holiday party planning this year.

50s

Throwing a 50s holiday party? Encourage guests to show up in 50s attire, transform your bar into a malt shoppe or cigar bar, offer guests scotch, whip out the old record player and Bing Crosby songs, and have at it!

Costume Party

This theme is a spin on a classic Halloween party. Ask guests to dress up as characters from their favourite Holiday movies with the best costume winning a prize!

The Kardashian Christmas Card

Use the traditional Kardashian Christmas Card as inspiration for your holiday party this year. Have all of your guests dress up as a member of the clan and recreate one of the classic Kardashian cards from years’ past.

Classic Movies

Encourage guests to each bring a classic Christmas movie and project the movies in the background throughout the night.

Secret Santa

Secret Santa is something that everyone can participate in! Have people draw names in advance and hand out their presents to the person they drew the evening of the party. Have everyone sit together and unwrap the presents so everyone can see the different gifts handed out.

Cookie Exchange

If you’re getting together with a group that loves to bake, have everyone bring a platter of cookies and a container, and then each person can take one cookie from everyone else’s platter to bring home.
